ET/AL

Annie Nguyen hit me on Facebook about her new content and layout design for ET/AL, which depicts everything from the arts to music to the scene in Hawaii. It's pretty cool..... so check it out. One of the post was this link to In B Flat which is a sick little colab of youtube video's to create one epic sound. SOOOOO GOOD!!! You need to hear it yourself..... http://inbflat.net/

Random Posting.....

Here's a few pics that I just wanted to throw up....

First is this bike that I had in the works for a long while. It's an old Bridgestone mountain bike that I found on the side of the street in Kalihi. I converted to a beach cruiser with a coaster brake rear wheel and chrome Slam Bars. The rest was just leftover parts that I somehow inhereted.

Here are pics that I took off the overpass by my house using only my iPhone. I thought it came out pretty artsy.....

Did You Know....

Something interesting.... Does anybody remember the T.V. show on Nickolodean called "Salute Your Shorts"?? It was the show that took place at a summer camp and had a kid called "Donkey Lips". I remember coming up watching that show and it was good. Anyway, blast forward to the present of music, Blake Sennet (who played Ronnie Pinsky on the show) is the same guy who plays lead guitar for the indie rock band Rilo Kiley. This band is super good and I even used their song Silver Lining for my video part on "Aurite" which is our Hawaii BMX scene video put together by my boy KJ Lau. I thought this was pretty interesting so I decided to post about it here. Hahaha....

The Counter

I meant to post this yesterday, but I felt super lazy all day. Especially, when the knee is still bothersome. Anyway, my homies dragged me out of the house to go eat with them at "The Counter" in Kahala Mall. It's basically your typical burger joint with a bar and has that sort of "Grease" style, local hangout spot type ambiance. I had half a BLT sandwich which I split with my homegirl Jenny, but for all the burger fans, you can create your own burger. Pick how much beef you want, cheese, toppings, everything. Pretty crazy. Prices range up there of course.... about $8 and up for a burger. Check it out if you're in the area.

Very Creative....

I saw this video super early in the morning before I went to bed to start a new. It's Coldplay's "Strawberry Swing". I'm not a Coldplay fan but I must admit that I liked this video a lot. The dude's lying down on a blacktop with chalk drawings. With a little bit of computer imagery and stop-play editing this video came out very well. Here's the link to the youtube video since they disabled the embed code. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lb9X5jMofEo
